FROM THE EDITOR | LINDA JESSON
Summer has arrived and as temperatures
rise, we don’t want to forget about what the
heat may be doing to our plants. Luckily,
we’ve got you covered! Read on to learn
how to cool down your greenhouse using
ventilation and evaporation, and how to
monitor and control humidity.
For those of you hoping for a bumper crop
this season, using the right amendments at
the right time is crucial for best results, and
our features on kelp, mycorrhizal fungi,
phosphorus, and humic and fulvic acids
should help you bring in your best harvests
yet. We’ve also got some tips on when and
how to prune for big fruits. Rounding things
out are our features on greenhouse design,
from the
cloning, calculating lighting needs for
your growroom, ebb and flow hydroponic
systems, growing tomatoes in containers, and
stimulating bioactive compounds in plants.
