There are two camps of plant nutrients. In one camp there are the
essential nutrients, and in the other there are the beneficial nutrients.
Silicon, which makes up 28% of the Earth’s crust and is a major
component of soil, is an element that could hang out in both camps, and
plenty of research has been done to support this claim. The following
article focuses on the benefits of using silicon in a hydroponic system.
