It ’ s hard to believe this is the third issue of our special annual extracts and concentrates magazine . Like many things in the cannabis industry , things continue to evolve quickly and keeping pace is no easy task . This is especially true within the subculture of extracts and concentrates . In our first two issues of this special edition , our goal was to educate and inform our audience on what extracts and concentrates are , how they are used , and what they are used for . In this latest issue , we ’ re spreading our wings a bit more and including more of the human interest element . It ’ s people , after all , that create a culture . They create the lexicon , history , and stories that bring a topic , any topic , really , to life . So , for this issue we sent MY editor Cam Maxwell to Tofino , B . Cam and his partner Lanaya took in all the west coast of Vancouver Island has to offer while getting a better understanding of what brought their hosts to this slice of paradise and what their bud-and-breakfast has to offer . You can find that story on page 90 . We also sent photographer Kyle LeGrow on a mission , one that he jumped at . LeGrow got a chance to speak with two of his idols in the industry , JP Toro from Toro Glass and Brian Schroeder from D-Nail to get the backstory on the evolution of the terp slurper . Both JP and Brian rarely go as deep in their history as they did with Kyle , so “ The Tale of the Terp Slurper ” is definitely a must-read on page 34 . While we push the envelope on industry insight , we ’ re also keeping pace on topics like weed diamonds , distillate edibles , live resin , live rosin , and edibles and concentrate slang , all of which can be found in these pages .
