Deep Water Culture ( DWC ) is a common and successful form of recirculating hydroponics for growing cannabis .
This system offers thick lush roots , accelerated growth , lower inputs , and reduced labor . In a DWC system cannabis plants sit in net pots within the grow chamber , their roots suspended in a nutrient solution , which is well aerated to provide an oxygenrich solution . With little to no resistance to push against , combined with proper temperature , oxygen , and nutrient levels , fast , lush growth of roots is easily achieved .
DWC is a form of recirculating hydroponics ( also commonly referred to as closed-loop hydroponics ). These systems are the most environmentally friendly / water conserving growing options due to their use of continuously recycled water and nutrients .
