Last year was the first live event since 2019 , however , with international restrictions still in place for travel to and from some countries , there was a noticeable absence of attendees and big industry players last year . This renaissance of a full-on mass public event makes the atmosphere this year even better . It makes it feel like more of a celebration . It ’ s like the pandemic almost never happened . This year ’ s show saw more than 500 businesses , with 25,000 attendees from 50 countries . The monumental implementation of this show is estimated to boost the local economy by $ 8 million , and the growing weed industry ’ s excitement and passion can be felt here .

The festival atmosphere outside is relentless , going on late into the night with music acts and public speakers . Food and drink are everywhere as vendors pour beverages and serve all kinds of delicious cuisine , from Asian street food to vegan burgers . All while a sense of community and the unmistakable smell of weed lingers in the warm air .
