The distance between your plants will also have an effect on the temperatures in their immediate space . Be sure to keep that in mind when you are trying to balance out your room temperatures . Humidity is another thing to be mindful of . I can tell you from experience that cannabis can grow in very low humidity , however , optimally you want it right down the middle at 50 percent . This will become another factor in your attempts to master your environment . If you get your temperatures dialed in and you find your humidity is on the rise , be mindful of how much water you are using and how much water is left standing . Leaving too much standing water on the ground or on your trays can easily turn into an excess of moisture in the air which can affect the finished product . Once your veg is up and running and your environment is on point , you will have some maintenance duties over the following weeks . Within the first several days of relocation , you are going to want to start to clean up your leaves and shape your canopy . Over the course of the three to four weeks that your plants will be in this stage , you will strip the leaves that are blocked by or blocking the light and create pockets of space around various nodes on your plants . You will top them at least once which will cause them to widen and kind of spread their wings , euphemistically speaking .
The veg stage will require frequent care and maintenance that will serve as a kind of foundation upon which the health and well-being of the plant will be developed .
