Maths Class 11 Chapter 10. Straight lines | Page 4

Numerical: Find the slope of the line passing through the points( 3, – 2) and(– 1, 4),
Solution: The slope of the line through( 3, – 2) and(– 1, 4) is denoted by m = tan θ =( y2-y1)/( x2-x1) =( 4-(-2))/(-1-3) =-6 / 4 =-3 / 2

Numerical: If angle between two lines is π / 4 and slope of one of the lines is ½, find slope of other line.
