Great Mathematicians

Called the “Greatest Mathematician of all Time” and the Einstein of Math.

HIs contributions include function notation f(x). The “e” in the natural logarithm which is base of the natural logarithm also known as Euler Constant.

He created three Greek letters that we use today. He created Sigma for summation, the letter ‘/i’ for imaginary numbers and the symbol for pi.

Euler developed a trigonometric equation known as Euler’s identity. For example 2 x 2 = 4 and (-2) x (-2) = 4. Euler also discovered the square root of -1 is “i” .

Leonhard Euler

(1707-1783)

Swiss mathematician.

He lived in Russia

Euler has numerous contributions that we use in math today.

Have you ever wondered, who you can thank for the study of calculus, which is the study of change?

Also, who to thank for the study of real numbers known as the number theory?

Yes, you guessed it, Leonhard Euler.

Are you a Sudoku fan?

Well, you have to thank Euler.

He created the grids where each row and column contains each number once.
