MISSION OF MATH I NVESTIGATION: ΚΙΤΕ
East countries
“During
the
Han
Dynasty, a general
used a kite
for
topographic purposes!
...So he thought this:
He raised a kite in the
air, with the end of the
rope at the point where
you start the tunnel and
himself kite hovering
over the palace. So he
had an imaginary right
triangle. By following
simple
geometrical
operations, they were
able to calculate the
exact length of the
tunnel. “
In these countries, the
art of making kites perfected, going so far as
to make "flying" dragons, birds, fish, animals. They are decorated with wishes and
desires, and sent by an
eagle, the closer to God
could. They fit over the
small flutes, which
whistled as it passed
through them the air,
and the sound they
made believed evict
away evil spirits. Or
lifted together many
eagles in the sky, accompanied by hymns,
prayer and supplication
to
the
gods.
Even today, two thousand years later, the
Chinese believe that
flying kites, you kicked
away their bad luck,
and as high as the eagle arrived, the luckier
you will be. In China,
the tradition says that
eagles were making
from 1000 BC But the
first written record is in
the text of the 4th century, which states that
someone Koungksou
Van, built a "wooden
bird" which flew for
three consecutive days.
From early kites apart
from the game or their
use in religious ceremonies, they began to
have practical applications. It is reported that
Emperor Wen Chsoun
What made flight experiments with eagles,
but not made of paper
or fabric, but bamboo
which was manning
with prisoners. Those
of them survive these
flights, receive their
l i b e r t y .
Eagles were based on
the same designs were
used on a large scale
for military purposes.
According to written
records, the kites were
so great and so solidly
constructed that they
can pick up and hold
the air for a sufficient
period of time a soldier
in order to follow the
movements of the enemy, but also of signals
transmitted from one
area
to
another.
During the Han Dynasty, a general used a
kite for topographic
purposes! His aim was
to occupy a palace, but
met stiff resistance. So
he thought to build a
tunnel, and to raid the
palace. But the basic
problem was that he
could not calculate the
length that should have
this tunnel, to emerge
at the center of the palace. So he thought this:
he raised a kite in the
air, with the end of the
rope at the point where
you start the tunnel and
himself kite hovering
over the palace. So he
had an imaginary right
triangle. By following
simple geometrical operations, they were able
to calculate the exact
length of the tunnel.

But what most do not
know is that during
the Greek antiquity
existed samples eagles construction efforts.
Reported that the
chief engineer Archytas, used the eagle in
his studies.

The Archytas (440360 BC) was a
mathematician from
Taranto, a disciple of
Pythagoras dealt with
flights. Considered
the last and most important of the Pythagoreans. Texts
Archytas said that
studying and Galileo.
Also in Greek vase
classical era, there
daughter representation, which holds in its
hands a white shuttle
from the thread,
ready to fly.
