LEARNING LAB
THE SHIFT UNDERWAY Louvre Abu Dhabi and ilmi are different in scale, discipline, and stage of development. What they share is a conviction that the museum’ s relevance in the twenty-first century depends not on the quality of its collection or the boldness of its architecture, but on the depth of its relationship with the communities it serves. Co-creation is how that relationship is constructed— not as a gesture toward participation, but as an authentic redistribution of authorship. Institutions making this shift are not simply becoming more relevant. They are becoming an essential cultural anchor in an increasingly automated world.
