Was the Coronavirus Prophesied?

We all have our own opinions on this earth-shaking pandemic... one area that I find truly fascinating - regarding this crisis - is the controversy that the modern plague was predicted... Regardless of how you feel about predictions - here are a few sources that are almost too remarkable to discard completely... and - at worst - who doesn't love a good conspiracy theory? Still the accuracy of these accounts is too close to be taken as coincidence by most...

Nostradamus and his 1555 book

Begin with a story from Rae Alexandra with KQED.org of the San Francisco Bay Area. In this story of April 6, 2020, Alexandra points to the following reference from Nostradamus:

"In the feeble lists, great calamity through America and Lombardy. The fire in the ship, plague and captivity; Mercury in Sagittarius, Saturn warning."

We can readily understand the references to "plague and captivity" as we are in worldwide lockdowns. But everything else in this passage is amazingly accurate too. Alexandra feels the "feeble lists" refer to the rolls of sick and dead. America and Italy (Lombardy is a region in the north of Italy) are two of the very hardest-hit countries.

Further, Mercury entered Sagittarius in December 2019, which corresponds with the rapid emergence of the virus. Saturn moved into Aquarius on March 21, 2020 - this coincides with New York City's mounting crisis, lockdown, and the near inundation of their hospitals. Almost beyond coincidence is the timing of these astronomical alignments and the pandemic.
