The aroma of Juniperus communis can produce a calming, grounding experience, with its ability to cleanse and purify the air. It is also a natural skin toner.

Juniper Berry is a great detoxifier when used for liver disorders and jaundice; kidney and urinary function and water retention; kidney stones; acne; psoriasis; sore joints and muscles; bacterial and viral infections, lowering high cholesterol and blood sugar levels; relieving tension and stress, depression; and balancing emotions. When stress occurs or depression sets in, the body’s immune system is greatly weakened.

Juniper Berry is a fantastic night time oil. It is helpful for children having nightmares or trouble sleeping through the night. It helps the body adopt a clear distinction between day and night with disruption of sleep cycles or confusion. Emotionally, it can help alleviate fear of the dark and unknown or unresolved issues. It helps to uncover and face your fear and unresolved issues.

If you have avoidance issues that disrupt your sleep, Juniper Berry may help you work through them rationally.

IN COMBINATION

Combining Juniper Berry and Geranium will aid in calming the body and mind from the inside out. Most of anger, sadness, and emotions are held in the liver. Both of these oils help to cleanse and heal the liver so that you can renew your health and wholeness, physically and emotionally.

Best to use these two oils in a diffuser, take internally, or apply topically. When taken internally (under the tongue or in a veggie capsule), use only “Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade” (CPTG) essential oils. Before bedtime or when needed, apply over the areas of concern such as the liver or other internal organs, on the forehead, behind the ears, under the nose, and/or behind the neck.

Both oils also blend well with Lavender, Bergamot, grapefruit, Cypress, Neroli, Sandalwood, and Tangerine.
