“ If you want to find the secrets of the universe , think in terms of energy , frequency , and vibration .”

— Nikola Tesla
This is a story about energy that travels in waves of light and magnetic fields . It can also be used as medicine . Many doubted claims of healing powers , that were eventually proven to be right .
In Tesla ’ s Manhattan laboratory , his inventions of AC electricity , fluorescent lighting , radio , the motor in the Tesla car , materialized in his mind - and some in front of him so vividly - he could not tell if they were real or not . It featured two large round coils of wire , now known as Tesla coils . They become electromagnets when you add electricity to them . Magnetic energy can then jump from one coil to another coil that is close by . This is called induction .
He was a proud showman and this laboratory ( pictured right ) was his stage . When his AC generators came online at Niagara Falls , he became the most famous inventor in the entire world .
With the help of Elon Musk of Tesla Motors , today his Long Island lab is being converted into a museum . And fortunately for Tesla fans , historical newspapers are now being digitized so we can learn about him .

Now , I first want to mention when you go looking for that information , my research presented some strange remnants . For someone that was the most famous inventor in the world – the press was writing his name with a C instead of a K . You mainly find this miss-spelling in articles that were deemed to be too out there . However , I found misspellings on official government records . On the US library of Congress website , and in the iconic photo . His misspelled name is etched right into the glass master picture .
