Mass Formation
This past week my wife forwarded an article/video link to me that contained the information which I am going to share with you in this month’s article. Several months ago, I presented the idea of “Group Think” and how the decisions being made by leadership were affected by that phenomenon. The information in this article eclipses those ideas and presents a much more sinister etiology and outlook for where we are heading.
“Dr. Mattias Desmet, professor of clinical psychology at Ghent University in Belgium, reviews the societal conditions under which a population ends up willingly sacrificing their freedom. Desmet, who also has a master’s degree in statistics, discovered peculiar anomalies in statistical analyses done during the COVID pandemic, which made him realize our global society is starting to enter a “mass formation” state, a type of ‘collective hypnosis’ required for the rise of a totalitarian regime.”
Dr. Desmet stated that he started out following the CV crisis from a statistical mindset. He noted early on that the numbers predicted by the models from the Imperial College in London were highly inaccurate. For instance, it was predicted that Sweden would have more than 80,000 deaths if they did not lock down their country. Sweden chose not to lock down, and they only had 6,000 deaths in the same period that was predicted.
As a statistical expert, Dr. Desmet began to analyze why the models were so far off. He studied more and more models and results and kept coming up with the same conclusion; the experts and leadership personnel seemed to be defying logic and science in order to push through the policies that clearly were not working from a statistical perspective. Clearly there was another dynamic in operation that needed to be uncovered.
