Rose Oil With Love

HISTORY

Originally from the Syrian capital Damascus, Rosa demascena or Rose oil is more commonly known as Damask rose.

Workers can be found in fields at sunrise, harvesting the delicate blooms of the Rosa damascena. It takes more than 10,000 freshly picked rose blossoms to produce one 5mL bottle of Rose essential oil because this labor-intensive production process has a very low yield. Also, because rose petals are so delicate, the distillation process must occur on the same day that the flower is harvested. Hence, its high cost.
