Chlorella is also very high in phosphorus: (989.0 mg\100 g), almost three times the concentration of magnesium (315.0 mg\100 g). This contributes to improving the entire nervous system and also the memory, as is reported by patients after taking chlorella and its extract regularly for 30 days.

Speaking of detoxification, chlorella is also rich in the peptide glutathione, which together with methionine plays a crucial role to detoxify the liver and other organs. Glutathione is a key molecule that activates the cellular detoxification of noxious compounds. It also activates the p450 cytochrome detoxification system where chemicals and toxic compounds are joined with the glutathione molecule to conjugate and increase the water solubility of chemical compounds, to be later expelled.

Detoxification and activation of the colon is, of course, the subject of my book. Thus, I have included chlorella and its CGF extract in this book because chlorella extract has a particularly strong capacity to activate bowel movements and expel toxins among other activities.

THE CELLULAR MEMBRANE OF CHLORELLA

The cellular membrane of chlorella includes approximately 31% Hemicelluloses, 27% protein,15.4% alpha cellulose, and 3.3% of glucosamine which together with the high percentage of magnesium play a major role to increase bowel movement and expel toxic feces. And, don’t forget that chlorophyll purifies the colon.

CHLORELLA CGF EXTRACT IS RICH IN NUCLEIC ACID (DNA\RNA)

One cannot speak about chlorella without explaining that it contains high levels of nucleic acids, which with other nutrients not only increase detoxification, but stimulates cell reproduction to rejuvenate the tissues and

make new healthy cells. The nucleic acids found in the nucleus of pyrenoidosa are much more concentrated in the pure liquid chlorella than tablets. Up to 10% of chlorella can be RNA, while DNA levels can be up to 3%. For example Chlorella has 17 times more RNA than sardines.

Chlorella Growth Factor (CGF) is an extract from the chlorella cell nucleus; and it is not found in spirulina or any other micro-algae. It is a valuable component of the chlorella and a powerful antioxidant. CGF is not exactly a single substance, but a nucleotide peptide that contains glucose, mannose, arabinose, galactose, xylose, proteins, and amino acids such glutamine, alanine, serine, glycine, proline, and asparagine. It also contains enzymes, vitamins, and minerals such as manganese that is important for bones, liver, pancreas, the nervous system, and the brain.

Manganese is also important for the growth of Lactobacillus in the intestine. The structure of the CGF also contains five other active substances, including sulphur, glutathione, and cysteine, which all play a key role in detoxification as mentioned. CGF extract contains 10% DNA which is about 3 times more DNA, while the tablets contain 3%.
