I thought a ten year career in the advertising industry (my previous career), and growing up in family businesses would give me an edge for running a successful practice, but I still couldn’t get my passion, to pay the bills – which was really frustrating.
I did the normal things, like paying for Directory listings and Facebook ads. I wrote blogs and posts, and constantly updated my website and SEO, but it was really expensive, time-consuming, and I always felt like a Sales Person, not a Practitioner.
My Practitioner friends, all had the same problem, so I knew there had to be a better way to find clients, and do what I really wanted to do – Help people!
The big idea
After several years working for a US based wellness program, becoming their “star- coach” and servicing a steady-stream of clients, I started to understand how this company was succeeding, where I had failed in my own practice. I had direct access to their clients, so I listened to their feedback. I was able to learn and study their business.

I set about doing some extensive Australian market research. I discovered the amount of people searching for Alternative Therapies in Australia is vast, but finding easy-to-understand information is not.
There are amazing practitioners, healers and coaches out there, but the public are struggling to find the right help, amongst all that confusing information.
Making it happen
Armed with all this insight, knowledge and understanding, 2 years later, EverythingAlternative.com was conceived. A community platform that brings “active” Seekers, together with Wellness Warriors.
We’ve removed the sales pitch, and replaced it with a place to have a genuine conversation, share knowledge and offer solutions and services, to those “actively” seeking them. EverythingAlternative.com lets practitioners get on with helping people, while we do all the business stuff* – just like I experienced in the US.
