Course structure
The course is structured into two parts :
Part A . Engineering specialist knowledge and application These units will provide you with specific and contemporary learning required for your chosen area of profession . You will gain in-depth knowledge of the engineering specialisation and develop skills to identify and apply your understanding of the contextual factors impacting the engineering discipline .
Part B . Professional practice These units will develop your skills in readiness for the engineering workplace . You will develop skills in effective team membership and team leadership and the legal responsibilities of engineers .

• Statistics and operations research for industrial engineers
• Advanced robotics in manufacturing
• Design for additive manufacturing

An Australian bachelor honours degree ( or equivalent ) in engineering in the same discipline .

Meet the English language requirements of the University . The following English proficiency tests are accepted :
• Monash English
• Academic IELTS – Overall band score of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0 .
• TOEFL iBT / TOEFL iBT Paper Edition – A total score of 79 with 12 in Listening , 13 in Reading , 21 in Writing and 18 in Speaking
• Pearson Test of English ( Academic ) – Overall score of 58 with no Communicative Skills lower than 50
• C1 Advanced / C2 Proficiency – Overall score of 176 with no skill score lower than 169 .
Tests must be taken within 24 months prior to course commencement .
