Over the past few decades, media has
been defined by new technologies, but
photography continues to be relevant as a
cultural object. Nevertheless, the concept
of what a photograph is or what can it
be is changing, as are the photographers
themselves. This generation is celebrating the
power of an individual personality and modern
photographers are sharing art with no shame
to express inimitable reality.
Alina and “Gorsad” are celebrating it too.
“Gorsad” is made up of two guys and a girl
(Victor, Julian and Maria). They represent
a unique wave of photography by mixing
portraits with some kind of fixations: “We
are in love with these people who are not
eager to please. Sometimes even shyest
and constrained ones are unpredictable in
their behavior during the shooting process.”
Photographer Alina found her direction in
underground culture. She shoots people who
enjoy music and those who are the actual
evidence of freedom.
