Storytelling Performances
Tales of the natural world (Grades: K - 4 )
Listening to these musical tales that draw
on the four seasons will build students’
respect for our environment.
Makwa the Bear and the North Star
(Autumn) Makwa seeks shelter for the winter.
The animals in the forest help him on his
quest, but he only truly finds his way once
he identifies the North Star.
The Otter Dream (Winter) Boni the otter
dreams of funny things but learns that it is
the journey that counts; her friends and
family help her along the way as she
overcomes her difficulties.
The Magic Lake (Spring) Rainbow, the
curious lake trout, seeks the light and is
tricked into an early spring. Bougon the
pike causes trouble, which leads to
disaster. A reminder of our need to respect
the rhythms of nature.
The Adventures of Monarch Butterfly
(Summer) Monarch is the only one of his
clan to have survived the drought.
When faced with this loss of community,
he sets out on a journey and finds new
friends and family.

The Centenary Tree (Grades: K - 6 )
Sébastien tells the story of the preservation
of the centenary tree thanks to Emma, Gaby
and the magical creatures inhabiting this
tree. This tale, accompanied by music, is
intended to be told and listened to
outdoors: under a tree, during a nature walk
or for the launch of a special project.
Sébastien will incorporate the trees and
plants that are native to the location to this
tale (and the story will be told inside, in
case of rain.)
