Jennifer Cayley Performance Storytelling Fables For The Earth: stories to inspire environmental awareness and responsibility Food and water are scarce. Two children, a mouse and a goat must brave the elements and climb a steep mountain to find out what can be done. As the group struggles upwards, the ancient rocks they walk upon tell them stories. Listening, they begin to understand just how brave, cooperative, persistent and thoughtful everyone needs to be to do the critical work of caring for the earth. This is a dynamic storytelling performance that aims not only to delight but to harness the age-old power of traditional fables from around the world, to inspire a creative appreciation for the dynamic interactions of the earth’s physical, biological and social systems.
