Unlock Shakespeare's text as an actor. Use the
patterns he writes into the text to understand
and embody the jokes, the characters, the play of
the texts. Younger grades will work with plot
lines and commedia characters as a key to
understand a play; older students will work with
personal texts. They may also work from
memorised lines for a deeper level of work.
My Life, My Story (Grades: 4 - 8/sec II) Students will
explore the elements of narrative and drama to
create short performances from their own
experiences. They will explore questions such as:
what high points will they share? What struggles
absorb them? How do they view the global picture?
They will identify the stories to tell and choose a
way to tell them, through movement, dialogue,
music and sound. They may even use their own
recording devices to capture the performances!
