Arte Brasileira Workshops (2 artists)
Capoeira Workshop Students are introduced to
Discover the beauty of the Brazilian arts through
this performance. The richness of the music, the
diversity of its dances and the acrobatic fluidity of
Capoeira, will give audiences the chance to lose
themselves in the beauty, mystery and excitement
of Brazil. the basic foundations and sequences of Capoeira,
as well as the music and history of this art form.
All elements are combined, allowing the students
to apply what they learned in a game-like format.

Music Workshop Students learn about various
folkloric instruments, rhythms and songs from
the Northeast part of Brazil. Through playing the
instruments and singing different songs, they
will be introduced to a variety of different
cultural art forms: Samba, Maracatu, Capoeira
and Maculélé.
Dance Workshop This workshop allows students
to learn different dances from Brazil: an energetic
Frevo, a well-known Samba and finishing with
Maracatu. They will learn a sequence of basic
movements, be introduced to the history of these
dances and finish by applying their newly learned
movements to music and song.
