MASC Young Authors and Illustrators Festival
The MASC Young Authors and Illustrators Festival is an annual,
three-day literary event, which brings some of Canada’s finest
writers and illustrators of children’s books to Ottawa every
spring to work with 450 aspiring young authors and illustrators
ages 9-13. The day is packed with literary activities including
artist presentations and readings, hands-on creative workshops,
book sales, and author signings. This year was the final
year to host the Festival at the Canada Aviation and Space
Museum, due to limited workshop spaces. We are thrilled
to have found a new space for the April 2020 Festival at
the Canada Science and Technology Museum, which will
provide suitable classrooms for workshop presentations as
well as a rich museum experience to participants.
