CEPT TEDDY THE GUARDIAN -ZAGREB, CROATIA Teddy the Guardian  is a plush teddy bear that measures children's vital signs seamlessly through its smart paws. Visits to a doctor will cease to be unpleasant for children, as they will never have to see a thermometer or blood pulse oximeter. Instead, they can play with a teddy bear, which will measure vital signs in a completely intuitive and interactive manner that does not cause stress or inconvenience to the child. Each Teddy has built-in medical sensors that monitor a child's heart rate, body temperature and oxygen saturation and sends the data wirelessly to a physician's tablet or web application. The bear is FDA approved, machine washable and comes with an accessible app. OAYU – SAN FRANSISCO Julie Uhrman wanted to make a gaming console that brings gamers together to play around a TV set, like she and her sister did when they were growing up. And that's pretty much the last traditional thing in the origin story of  Ouya, the Rubik's Cube-sized box that its creator hopes will redefine the world of console gaming when it hits stores June 25. Oayu experienced mind-boggling success on Kickstarter, the crowdfunding site where Uhrman- an industry veteran with stints at IGN, GameFly and Vivendi Universal- sought $950,000 to turn an idea into reality.
