CEPT TENCENT HOLDINGS Company: Tencent QQ, popularly known as  QQ, is an  instant messaging software service  developed by Tencent Holdings Limited. QQ also offers a variety of services, including  online social games,  music,  shopping, microblogging, and group and voice chat. Tencent remains committed to enhancing its development and innovation capabilities while strengthening its nationwide branding for its long term development. More than 60% of Tencent employees are R&D staff. Tencent has obtained patents relating to the technologies in various areas: instant messaging, e-commerce, online payment services, search engine, information security, gaming, and many more Tencent currently holds the 11th spot as on of the top most Innovative companies in Asia. Fun Fact: In 2010 Tencent bought a majority stake in the U.S based company, Epic Games which produces blockbuster game such as Gears of War and Infinity Blade BAIDU Company: Incorporated in China, Baidu engages in the provision of internet search solutions and online marketing solutions. Founded by Yanhong Li and Xu Yong in 2000 and is headquartered in Beijing, China. The world knows Baidu as the search engine that kicked Google's butt out of China, with an assist from the Communist Party. The company has a 73 percent share of the world's largest Internet market by users, and has the fifth-largest market capitalization ($38.3 billion) among the world's pure-play Internet companies, trailing Google, Amazon.com, Tencent, and only narrowly, eBay. Partnered with Intel on an Innovation Lab in China to develop mobile devices for the Chinese market. Officials hope the Baidu-Intel partnership would encourage developers to create mobile apps for search and mapping applications as it looks to become a large player in China in the cloud.
