Nominations for the second annual Warman Martensville Business Excellence Awards will be taking place from December 1st to December 15th . The event is scheduled for Friday , May 5th , 2017 at the North Ridge Centennial Centre in Martensville . The purpose of the event is to highlight businesses in Martensville , Warman and surrounding areas . “ It is an opportunity to not only bring awareness to the spectacular businesses , but to celebrate their outstanding achievements as well ,” Jaimie Malmgren of the Warman Chamber of Commerce explained .
Earlier this year , the Warman and Martensville Chambers of Commerce joined forces to host the inaugural WMBEXA event , which was held May 27th at the Brian King Centre in Warman . The awards gala proved to be extremely successful with many businesses participating , and approximately 300 people attending . The unique and unprecedented partnership between the two Chambers of Commerce works as a stepping stone towards uniting both businesses and residents within the two communities . “ We are excited to once again work together with the Martensville Chamber of Commerce . Last year , the awards surpassed our expectations , as well as the attendees . We couldn ’ t have done it without the support of local businesses and for that , we are really grateful and we are really looking forward to highlighting the wonderful businesses we have in our communities ,” Malmgren continued .
Nominations are taking place earlier this year , and all nominees will be contacted by a representative from either the Martensville or Warman Chamber of Commerce by the end of December . Anyone is able to nominate a business , and businesses are encouraged to self-nominate as well . “ The nominations are a very quick , easy process and if you know of a deserving business , it is worth taking the time
