Face Masks
Galore!
Well done to Megan in 1p4
– she decided to support
the local foodbank by
sewing face masks for a
small donation.
In one week Megan
managed to raise an
impressive £135!
Everyone at Marr is so
impressed with your
creativity, kindness…and
sewing skills.
Donations for the foodbank
are being collected at Marr
College every Thursday. If
you would like to find out
more information about the
local foodbank, please

Our very own Mrs Duncan
has also been producing
face masks! She has been
busy sewing face masks
this past week for her family
and vulnerable neighbours
that she has been
supporting during the
lockdown.
Some have been made
from clean shirts, new teatowels
or odd pieces of
material she had lying
around from previous
sewing projects.
Mrs Duncan ordered
special lining and elastic
supplies online and
followed the pattern
recommended on the
Good Housekeeping
website. So far, she has
made 12 and has another
8 in progress. Fantastic
work Mrs Duncan!
Paper Copies of
Learning
Resources
Our Marr College school
assistants were in school
last week organising and
copying packs of work for
young people who have
limited or shared ICT
access.
These resources were then
distributed by Mrs Scott,
Mrs Young and Kevin, one
our fabulous janitors, via
doorstep drops.
These drops will continue
as more work becomes
available. We will also be
organising for the work to
be collected and
distributed back to
departments over the next
few weeks.
