Also, a number of our pipers, snare, bass, and tenor drummers achieved an outstanding result with the local pipe band. They secured an amazing first place at the British Championships with the 1st Troon Boys’ Brigade Pipe Band.
Ayrshire Music Festival
A huge well done to all of our pupils who took part in various different classes at the Ayrshire Music Festival. From Wind Band, String groups, Brass groups and the Orchestras- all pupils performed really well. A huge thank you to our wonderful instructors who teach and mentor the pupils every day. The school orchestra were praised from going from strength to strength as well.
Well done to Grace McCallum for winning S1 / S2 songs from the shows, winning adult light opera and the overall winner of the junior vocal award. Another huge congratulations to Maya Grace who won the adult opera class, 2nd place in S3 / S4 songs from the shows and winner of the song class. Katie Randall achieved 2nd place in S1 / S songs from the shows too, congratulations to Indii and Emilia who also sang beautifully.
The Junior woodwind quartet achieved 1st place in the secondary ensemble competition, well done to Murren Thomson, Cara Gilmartin, Elizabeth Swain and Stefi Rogerson. Sam Beveridge came joint 1st place in the grade 2 competition. Murren Thomson placed 2nd in the grade 3 competition and Holly Granger placed 1st in the grade 4 competition. A huge thanks to Elsbeth, Lorna, Scott, Elaine, Gavin, Paul and Lynette for their continued hard work in teaching the young musicians."
