Ayr Beach Clean P7 Welcome Evening
Well done to S4 Workout Students
Conner, Daniel, Brannon, Owen,
Toni-Marie
and
Ross
who
participated in the Ayr Beach Clean
last month. It seems they were lucky
enough to get a sunny day for the
venture! Our P7 Parents’ Welcome Evening
held on Tuesday was a great
success with almost 450 parents and
pupils attending. We also had over
80 young people, mostly from S1,
helping on the night. Sincere thanks
to Mr Hobson for organising the
evening and to staff who led
information sessions for the tour. We
hope that parents and pupils found
it useful.
Police Scotland Young
Volunteer Award
Congratulations to Lucas in S3 who
received the Police Scotland Young
Volunteer Award for successfully
completing his 12-week induction
period. Lucas will go on to
volunteer with the South Ayrshire
team at various events across the
authority.
P7 Maths Challenge and
Careers Event
Last month our future S1s had a
fantastic time working together to
solve a range of maths puzzles and
learning about the world of
work. Many thanks to Mr Hobson
and the team for organising the
event,
also
to
the
Maths
Department, Gemma Fraser, S6
scientists and S3 volunteers. We look
forward to welcoming our new S1s
next year.
