South Ayrshire Sports Council Awards
Marr College were well represented at the recent South Ayrshire Sport Council Awards
which took place at Ayr Town Hall on Tuesday 29 th October 2019.
Community Project of the
Year Junior Sports Personality of
the Year
In the Community Project Award
our Community Sports Leaders
were
nominated
for
the
fantastic work they do in
providing
opportunities
for
young people in the Troon
community, particularly through
their participation in the school
holiday programmes. These
activity sessions see a huge
number of Marr cluster pupils
taking part in a wide variety of
activities throughout the school
holidays. It is great to see these
pupils, along with their course
leader
Mr
McLaughlin,
recognised for the skills they
develop and then utilise to
engage and enthuse young
people in sport. Lucy Grieve in S4 deservedly won
the Junior Sports Personality of the
Year for 2019. Lucy show great
dedication and motivation to be
one of the very best in her sport.

Ayrshire

outstanding success but also
holds records and titles at
Regional and National level. A list
