On Friday
November the Senior
Girls Handball team were crowned
National Champions! Competing
against eight other schools at the
National
Championships
at
Ravenscraig Sports Centre, the girls
finished top of the round robin
group with six wins and one
draw. An action packed final
against Our Lady’s Cumbernauld
didn’t disappoint. Trailing 4-3 in the
final seconds of the game, Marr
were awarded a free throw from
9m. In the last second of the game,
Jemma Lee scored with a
Thurderbolt
to
take
it
to
penalties. Super penalties from
Jemma, Freya and Ciara plus two
outstanding saves from Christie
ensured Marr were crowned
Champions. Congratulations, and
well done, to the girls for a
magnificent sporting display; -

Womens U17 Euro
Qualifications
We were delighted to follow the
achievements of Freya MacDonald
in S5 while she played for the
Scotland’s Womens Under 17
football squad during the October
break.
This
is
a
fantastic
achievement and Freya helped the
team have a successful campaign -
they finished 2nd in their group and
qualified for the Elite Round of the
Womens U17 Euro qualifications! This
included a 4-0 victory over
Montenegro. Best of luck for the
next stage!
