Business Advent Calendars
The Business Department have been creating interactive Advent calendars for their classes this year – students can click to reveal a video , quiz or festive task , these were shared via students ’ OneNote .
Darley – Hot Chocolate Thursday
We wanted to say well done to team Darley who organised the biggest hot chocolate Thursday that we have seen in the school ! They also arranged an open mic event at lunchtime and great fun was had by all ! You can even find some videos on the Marr College Twitter feed .
Chemistry Stars of the Month !
The Chemistry Department have been running a monthly competition called Chemistry Star of the Month . The target this month was for best average homework in Unit 1 and this was across S3-5 . The winners were :
• Samuel Brennan ( S3 )
• Rory Baird ( S4 )
• Gabby Gledhill ( S5 ) All winners received a periodic table mug . The next winners will be selected in Feb 23 . Well done everyone and keep up the good work !
U18 Rugby Fantastic achievement for our U18 team to get to the Plate final . We ’ re all really proud of them and the travelling support had a great time at Murrayfield . Unfortunately , they were defeated 27-17 on the night , but showed great character battling back in the second half of the match . Well done everyone !
