BEAUTY 21 Embrace The Beauty Of Makeup It’s not about hiding the real you, it’s about enhancing your true self! Local Professional Makeup Artist - Katrina of Belle’s Wish, offers us some tips and tricks to achieve makeup perfection and enhance our most beautiful features. Whether we like it or not, our physical appearance can have a big impact on how we feel about ourselves, as well as how others see us. That's why makeup can be a fantastic tool to enhance our best features, mask the ones we don't love, and approach life with confidence. I've included a few tips here for creating a beautiful, empowered, you. Contouring and Highlighting are a magical way to transform your face. As a rule of thumb, put dark powder anywhere you want to recede (like a double chin) and highlighter anywhere you want to stand out (such as those beautiful cheekbones). For best results, apply dark powder under the hollow of your cheekbones, around the bottom of your jawline, and at the outside edges of your forehead. Put a highlighter under the arch of your eyebrow, on the inside corners of your eyes, and along your cheekbones. Blend everything into softness with a brush. This will give your face a well-defined and slender appearance. 14 th May 2017 Spoil Mum this Mother’s Day lip colour. If it's your eyes, add a touch of colour. Don't be afraid to experiment - makeup is self- expression and everyone has beautiful unique features that should be enhanced. Make Your Eyes Stand Out To really make your eyes stand out, first line the top lashline with your favourite eyeliner. Putting this underneath the eyeshadow makes for a softer, more smudged effect. Cover your entire lid with a neutral colour, then with a brush draw a sideways “V” on the outside corner of your eye in darker powder. On the inside corner of your eyes, use a highlighter or bright eyeshadow. You can use the same colour beneath the arch of your eyebrows. Using a soft brush, blend all three colours until there is a subtle transition from light to dark instead of defined blocks of colour. Follow up with a mascara. Smudge Fix Highlight Your Best Feature Did you smudge your mascara while applying it? Don't worry, you don't need to remove your eyeshadow and start again. Simply wait for it to dry, then use a dry cotton bud to gently rub it off. Pick the feature of your face that makes you feel your most confident. Is it your lips?
