Did you know we celebrated Random Act Of Kindness on the first of this month? Did you participate and make a kind gesture towards someone? Don’t worry if you didn’t, you still have all month to do so, and don’t feel like you have to stop there. Random acts of kindness can happen anytime, anywhere and as often as you like. It might even happen to you. Quite a few years ago, I found myself scrolling through the TV channels and coming across a random movie titled ‘Pay it Forward’. Which, to my surprise, turned out to be one of those inspiring moments in my life when I felt so incredibly moved and the feeling has stuck with me ever since. It’s the story of a boy who decides to experiment with the concept of ‘paying it forward’ as part of a class assignment, resulting in the incredible effects of how human kindness can make a difference in our world. Be warned, it does have some heart breaking moments. But the idea of ‘paying it forward’ which I wasn't actually familiar with, really resonated with me, and it’s something I have often referred to when doing someone a favour or offering my help. Imagine if that was the natural response on all occasions, just like saying ‘please’ and ‘thank you’. Consider what it would be like if anytime someone acted in kindness towards you, you are automatically compelled to do the same for another, and so on it would go, everyone acting in kindness everywhere you turned. If you too are inspired by this concept, I challenge you to perform a random act of kindness every time the same is done for you. I bet, not only will you make someone smile, but it will make you feel pretty good yourself! Better than chocolate even. 6-9 12 22 Raise The Kindness Temperature Kindness Equals Wellness!
