Get all your materials together . For each planter , you will need a bigger container , and a smaller container that fits into the bigger one , with space around it for the concrete . Make your concrete using the instructions , adding bits of broken shell or stones if you like the look of that . Mix to a “ soft serve ” con- sistency . You can also add cement dye at this stage if you want your object to have more of a red or blue hue . Oil the inside of the bigger container and then pour in your concrete mix , leaving some space at the top . Oil the outside of the smaller container and then press firmly into the concrete , ensuring it is straight and even . Then fill in the sides with concrete mix , all the way to the top . If you choose to , you can press colourful stones into the top .
