Here ’ s our guide to doing just that .
Just like us , our pets are a year older since last winter , but of course , they age a lot quicker than we do , so they may have slightly different needs to last winter . Whether you have a house full of cats , a playful young dog or an older pooch , there are ways to make their winter better .
KeePing them snug and comfy
Just like us , our pets want to feel warm , safe and comfortable . If it ’ s time for a new bed , invest in something that ’ s easy to clean , and that will last . For older or short-haired dogs , consider a nice fleece blanket too . You may also want to get a snug “ jersey ” for pets who get very cold .
Place your dog ’ s bed somewhere warm and away from any drafts . If your animals like to sleep near the fire , make sure you have a fire screen to protect them from any sparks or from coming into contact with the fire .
