Asian Greens
Asian greens are also very happy growers in Autumn , and are perfect for winter stir fries , and Asian-inspired soups , stews and salads . Mizuna mustard , with its slightly bitter mustard taste , grows to around 30cm high and can be harvested regularly , regrowing throughout the season . Pak choi is also readily available and has a mild taste that falls somewhere between Swiss chard and cabbage . It ’ s perfect for steaming , in stir fries or broth , or just part of your “ wilted greens ”.
If you ’ ve considered trying your hand at Korean Kimchi , Chinese cabbage is a must . It grows easily all year round , and is a great versatile leafy vegetable . Another Asian green you could try is Tatsoi . It ’ s low-growing , so will grow perfectly with your Mizuna or Chinese cabbage . Rich in vitamins
