5 . Allow it to cure for at least 24 hours . Once it ’ s totally solidified , you can remove it from the mould .
6 . Secure the wicks using painter ’ s tape or by tying the wicks to chopsticks or sosatie sticks and resting them across the top , exactly where you want your wicks to be .
7 . Melt the wax flakes in an old pot , adding your citronella essential oil or candle scent , then pour it into the mould , making sure your wicks remain straight and evenly lined up .
8 . Once you ’ ve filled the vessel with wax , allow it at least four hours to cool completely . It will turn from clear to white .
9 . Once the wax is finished setting , remove the tape or chopsticks / sosatie sticks and trim the wicks . You now have a gorgeous oversized concrete candle , ready for your dining room table or kitchen counter .
