Spring is when a lawn starts to wake up after months of cold, rain, shade and slower growth. But a healthy spring lawn does not simply happen with warmer weather. Late winter and early spring are the ideal reset months to deal with compacted soil, thin patches, weeds, poor drainage and tired growth before they become summer problems. The aim is not to force quick growth, but to help the lawn recover strongly, root deeply and fill out before the heat arrives.
