Next , I vacuum the mould and seal all of the edges with silicone caulking , wiping away an excess . Once the silicone is dry , mix the concrete to a peanut butter-like consistency and add to the mould . You can add wire remesh to strengthen the concrete table . Bounce the mould up and down a few times and run a sander along the sides to vibrate some of the air bubbles out before covering the concrete with plastic and allowing it to dry for a few days . While the concrete dries , you can build your base . Start by assembling the legs , attaching them with wood glue and decking screws . Then add two smaller stretchers ( top & bottom ) in between each full leg with wood screws and glue .
