Ants: remove the“ buffet”, then target the trail
Ants are often the easiest nuisance pest to manage once you understand why they keep coming back: they don’ t arrive randomly, they arrive because one scout found a reliable food source. If you only kill the ants you can see, the colony simply sends more. The fix is to remove the attractant and disrupt the trail. Clean counters with warm soapy water or a vinegar solution to break the scent line, store sweet items and pet food properly, and wipe up spills immediately. Check entry points around doors, windows and pipework, and seal gaps where possible.
