MEET Spencer Markatos
Born and raised in upstate New York, Spencer owned and operated a
large residential real estate firm for nearly three decades. A graduate of
American University in Washington D.C. with a bachelor’s in business,
he has always been a boating enthusiast as well as a boat owner many
times over.
Having been in sales nearly all of his adult life and a boat owner it was a
natural match to become a yacht broker when he and his family moved
to Florida in 1999. The similarities between boat and home sales are
numerous, but he has to admit selling boats is much more fun and
satisfying.
Spencer has sailed the Chesapeake and fished from Montauk to the
Bahamas – experiences that have given him a keen sense of the right
boat for the right person and its use. People are certainly excited when
they move into their new home, but it does not match the excitement
about and imagination of the good times to come in their new boat.
Since becoming a yacht broker, Spencer has established a loyal following
of happy clients and is constantly busy with referrals from these clients.
He is thrilled to be able to continue building these relationships and
create new ones at Denison Yacht Sales. Spencer is based in Palm Beach
Gardens office.
