MEET Austin Ellingsen
Raised in Norway, Austin grew up boating and fishing in Norwegian fjords.
He is now enjoying the Pacific Ocean and exploring everything the Pacific
Northwest outdoors has to offer.
With wide experience in both sail and powerboats, having sailed solo long
distances and crossed an ocean in a dinghy, Austin has some great stories
to tell. Getting his first boat at the age of 6 and owning boats most of his life
after that, Austin is an experienced boater, with a high degree of technical
knowledge that enables him to help clients after the purchase as well.
After too many years of long and cold winters, Austin wanted to live where the
weather was warm year round. So he moved to Southern California, where the
sun is always shining and flip flops are considered shoes.
After spending time with Denison as a yacht broker in their Newport Beach
office, Austin decided to explore new opportunities with the Denison family
in their Seattle office on Lake Union.
Austin is a brand manager for new yachts in Seattle, focusing on catamarans
and Beneteau powerboats, including Swift Trawlers, Monte Carlo motoryachts
and GT express cruisers.
When not working with clients to help them find their dream boat, Austin
is often found boating or below the ocean’s surface scuba diving - he is a
certified PADI dive master - or he is mountain biking on a remote trail while
camping on a Washington mountain.
