When we first started the company, the name Carle Publishing actually
came from a combination of Carter and Leah, the names of my son
and daughter. At the time, I needed a name quickly to register my new
company and my four-year-old daughter came up with the name Carle.
That’s what we called the company for years, primarily publishing
magazines and focusing solely on that one product line.
Now, six years later, as our company has evolved and grown, we’re
doing so much more. We’re now publishing custom-printed magazines,
newsletters, and books, and we are also extending content into various
digital assets including blogs, videos, infographics, email newsletters,
and more.
Given that, we thought it was time that we saw ourselves not just as a
publishing company but as a media company, because we are embracing
all forms of communication. Although the name Carle has sentimental
value, it doesn’t present to the outside world what we actually do.
Why Tulip Media? Simple: We want to help you become the red tulip in
a sea of yellow.
So that’s our big news here at Carle Publishing . . . I mean Tulip
Media. We’re excited to get your feedback and would love to hear your
