Faris Team was founded by Mark and Joanna Faris in 2007 . Mark ’ s dream of a career in hockey had come abruptly to a halt a short time before , and the two had stayed in Joanna ’ s parents ’ basement as they struggled to get back on their feet . After getting married and setting out to buy their first home , they found themselves disappointed by their real estate experience . The two then realized that they had a lot of value and vision they could add to the industry and formed a new dream to pioneer the best home buying and selling experience in the world . And so , Faris Team was born .
In the beginning , it was just the two of them . Mark received his real estate license and focused on selling while Joanna put her extensive marketing expertise to work promoting the company and its listings . Today , Faris Team comprises more than 80 staff and six locations across Simcoe County in Ontario .

With Faris Team , there is no penalty . If clients don ’ t feel like they ’ ve had the best experience , they can cancel their buyer or seller agreement at no cost to them .
In 13 years , Faris Team has served over 8,100 clients , and they continue to grow . Although last year was a trying time for many businesses , real estate remained an essential service , and the team saw their sales jump by 40 percent .

This is a fully customized print marketing strategy that was designed to achieve several goals . The first is to advertise the team ’ s numerous listings . The second is to showcase the exceptional quality of the Faris Team brand , including their industry-leading photography along with other complimentary services and their extensive expertise . They were also looking to develop a resource to educate homeowners in Faris ’ s service areas about real estate . They have feature articles written with helping homeowners in mind , from tips on navigating a hot market to the value of a free home evaluation to what questions to ask when choosing a real estate team .
Faris Team chose to do print marketing because they wanted to reach their audience on a platform that is underserviced in the age of digital media . Although the company incorporates a comprehensive digital marketing strategy , marketing in print adds that extra layer to their campaign and has a lasting impact on potential clients .
Giving back to the community is a huge priority for Faris Team . As they continue to grow year after year , the team is committed to donating $ 100 of every transaction to a local charity . In 2020 , Faris Team made over $ 160,000 in donations . When the pandemic is over , the team is excited to get back to volunteering and organizing community fundraising events .
Up until 2020 , Faris Team was affiliated with Royal LePage and was their number one performing team in Canada . This past year , Faris Team branched out and became its own independent brokerage , a goal Mark and Joanna are proud to see realized .
