How much of
your personality and life experi-
ences are in your writing?
SS:
My heroines always
have part of me in them, and
their experiences are ones I’ve
had myself.
actually occurred. It still scares me when I
remember it. In fact I used it as the pro-
logue to my first book—A Hunter’s Heart,
as a way to “get past it.” Didn’t work…lol.
MFRW:

MFRW:
What about
your family? Do they know not to bother
you when you’re writing, or are there con-
stant interruptions? Are they, especially
your significant other, supportive of your
work? Do you ever ask them for advice?
SS: I’m lucky (or unlucky…lol) I don’t have a
significant other and live alone.
My children are all married but they
and their partners are very supportive and
proud of my writing achievements.
MFRW: Tell us about the scariest thing that ever
happened to you.
A nightmare, a weird dream thing that even
to this day I kind of think really happened.
