M. S. KAYE( Cont.) INTERVIEW
MFRW: What is the best thing about being a writer? MFRW: Why did you decide to write?
MSK: |
All the people in my head get to stretch their arms and legs on paper. |
MSK: |
I had a story in my head that wouldn’ t go away( Endless as the Rain). I had no idea what I was doing, but I loved it. |
MFRW:
MSK:
Who are your favorite characters among the books you’ ve written?
Oh, there are so many! I have to admit I still have a major crush on Alec from Endless as the Rain.
MFRW: What makes a good book?
MFRW:
MSK:
Tell us about your latest book. What motivated the story? Where did the idea come from?
I wanted to write one more story for my Once series, one about a nun this time, and I wanted to make the story more personal for Father Thomas. He’ d been there for Jonathan and Aiden; he deserved to have a happy ending too.
MSK:
Clean grammar, interesting characters I can root for, intense situations, as few words as possible but just the right ones that engage the senses, a heroine who can take care of herself. And a dark anti-hero doesn’ t hurt.
