VAL TOBIN (Cont.) WALK-IN BLURB EXCERPT A sense of impending doom has plagued psychic Viktoria Kovacs all day. Not even a card reading helps her get to the bottom of what’s behind it. In fact, the Tarot reading she does makes things worse when the Death card appears. Things get weirder and more sinister after Viktoria’s long-lost twin sister shows up at the door. Why did Viktoria’s sister vanish for five years? What happened to her memory? And how did she end up living with the mysterious millionaire claiming to be her protec- tor? When Aedan McCarthy visits the occult shop where Viktoria works, he’s researching a novel, not looking for love. Unprepared for the jolt of electricity that sparks between them, Aedan wants to explore the possibilities. Getting romantically entangled with Aedan may be Viktoria’s destiny, but it might cost him his soul. Can Viktoria save herself without sacrificing those she loves? ―Sexy‖ was Viktoria’s first thought. Something famil- iar about him was her second. He wore jeans and a pale blue shirt, open at the neck. The sleeves were rolled up, and his wavy brown hair brushed the top of his collar at the back. He reminded her of a young Han Solo, and that wasn’t hard to take at all. Focus, Viktoria. His hotness had better not stymie her psychic abilities. ―Hi, ladies, I’m here to see Viktoria Kovacs.‖ His voice was a smooth baritone that sent a shiver through her, as if she’d just been stroked by a feather. This next hour would be a long one if she’d have to check her libido at the reading room entrance. ―That’s me.‖ Her voice came out breathy, and a flush crept over her face. Oh, God. She shook it off and stepped from behind the counter, holding her right hand out for him to shake. ―You must be Aedan McCarthy. Have we met before?‖ He clasped her hand and gave it a firm pump before releasing it. ―No, I doubt it—I’d remember you after one look.‖ Viktoria chewed on her lip to prevent herself from giggling like a schoolgirl. Review: Eric Lahti at EricLahti.com Wrote: ―Into this world of magic and spirits, Tobin drops a psy- chic reader, a powerful (and evil) psychic, a witch, and a journalist who’s out of his element but ready to under- stand. She manages to weave a mystery about a missing woman with a story of a budding romance and wrap it all up in a paranormal bow.‖ 7
