Gayle M . Irwin is an award-winning Wyoming author and freelance writer who has been recognized by Wyoming Writers , Inc . and the Wyoming Press Association for several of her works . She is a contributing writer in eight Chicken Soup for the Soul books and the author of many books , including stories for children , devotionals , and sweet as well as Christian contemporary romance books that weave pet rescue and adoption into the story . She ’ s written a series called Pet Rescue Romance – Yellowstone Country , a sweet , later-in-life contemporary romance book series set near Yellowstone National Park , as well as several stand-alones . Most of her romance stories are set in the western U . S .
